The Shoreview Community Foundation accepts requests for and provides grants throughout the year. Here are details on the grants and the grantees for 2025-2026.
2026
In January 2026, the Shoreview Community Foundation approved several Rapid Relief Grants to assist local families affected by Operation Metro Surge. The grants were directed to trusted community partners, who are actively serving those most impacted, and are designed to move quickly, ensuring help reaches families when it matters most.
To provide rent and utility assistance to a network of families within the Mounds View School District.
The Ralph Reeder Food Shelf and Community Resource Center was established in 1982 as a service of the Mounds View School District. They provide food, basic needs, and connections to other services for any school district family, as well as any low-income or food-insecure neighbor requesting assistance.
To provide food, energy, and rent assistance, particularly for members of their Spanish-speaking congregations impacted by Operation Metro Surge.
To deliver rapid financial assistance for urgent needs such as rent, utilities, and essential medications.
Quincy House serves at-risk teens and their families across the Mounds View School District, including Shoreview. The organization provides mentorship, a safe environment, and holistic support addressing mental health challenges, housing instability, and family stress.
2025
To provide over 720 food bags to the Shoreview YMCA over the summer.
Every Meal addresses the food gaps school-age children face, especially on the weekends. They discreetly place bags full of nutritious, delicious, and relevant food directly into students' backpacks across Minnesota, so they return to school on Mondays ready to learn and grow.
To paint a mural in the tunnel running under Highway 96 between the Shoreview Community Center and the Snail Lake Trail System. Grant money will be used to hire a mural artist, purchase paint supplies, and help participants from Shoreview paint the mural. This is a joint project between Gallery 96 and the Shoreview Bike and Trails Committee.
- To hold the Becoming Neighbors dinner event in Shoreview, bringing together residents for guided storytelling and connection across diverse cultures.
- To bring the Immigrant Experience Traveling Exhibit to the Shoreview Public Library.
Green Card Voices is a non-profit organization dedicated to building inclusive and integrated communities between immigrants and their neighbors through multimedia storytelling.
To provide a daily snack to students who would otherwise not have one during the school year.
To support four artists-in-residence at MSS Shoreview Center to teach various types of music and dance programs.
MSS supports people with disabilities as vital and contributing members of our community.
To provide Child-Centered Play Therapy.
NYFS is the only community-based provider of mental health care in the area. It offers a sliding fee scale ranging from $5 per session for uninsured and underinsured individuals, including those with high-deductible health plans.
To provide Legal Services to eligible clients with advocacy and representation around criminal law and family law cases.
Tubman helps with legal matters in Hennepin, suburban Ramsey, and Washington Counties. Tubman helps people of all ages, gender identities, and cultural backgrounds who are experiencing relationship violence, homelessness, trafficking, mental and chemical health challenges, and other forms of trauma.
To provide water and swimming safety programming for youth. The water safety program will focus on children, ages 4-12, from the Shoreview area.
