Grant Applications

The Shoreview Community Foundation encourages grant requests in support of:

—Community crisis response and special needs programs

—Arts and cultural organizations

—Recreational facilities such as parks, trails, wetlands and woodlands

—Community enhancement and leadership training

—Human services organizations

—Historical preservation projects

The Shoreview Community Foundation accepts requests for grants throughout the year.

Applications will be promptly reviewed and acknowledged, then shared for consideration by the Grants Committee and the Foundation’s Board of Directors. We are committed to preliminary action on every grant within six weeks.

Please use the Application for SCF Grants form to complete the grant request. The Application must be completed in full to be considered. Incomplete Applications will be returned. Supporting material, such as proof of tax-exempt status (IRS 501(c)(3), governmental organization, religious institution, etc.), must accompany Applications.

Note: Grant projects may not include religious content.

Foundation grants focus on programs or projects located in or serving residents of the City of Shoreview. Programs that include nearby communities as well may qualify if they can demonstrate a significant impact on Shoreview’s residents or quality of life.

Among the programs and projects the Foundation does not support are the following:

—General operating fund requests

—Endowments or debt reduction

—Requests to support individuals, e.g., sponsorships, scholarships, crisis funding

—Religious programs

—Political causes

—Research funding
