An advisory board of Shoreview residents and friends annually selects non-profit organizations that serve the Shoreview community with programs focused in the following areas:
Applicants are invited to submit a Letter of Intent describing the proposed grant request. Grants for 2021 are being reviewed. No additional grant requests will be considered until the next grant cycle. Letters for grant consideration are typically accepted January 1 through mid February. Grant letters may include a brief description of the program, project, or service and include the following information:
Grant awards are typically announced in April of the same year of application.

Ralph Reeder Food Shelf: Enhance the organizations’ physical infrastructure and capacity to meet community needs and provide food and essential personal and baby supplies to help meet needs of those in the community impacted by COVID-19.
City of Shoreview Parks and Rec: ‘Rec on the Go’ boxes for children in Shoreview to use at home or bring to local parks that will encourage outdoor activity in the midst of recommended social distancing. Boxes will be delivered to families in need and also available for Shoreview residents to pick up at the Community Center.
Northeast Youth & Family Services: Provide funding for art therapy as part of mental health therapy program during day treatment and clinical services.
Suburban Ramsey Family Collaborative: Fund the partnership with Mounds View Schools whose professionals on a daily basis support children, youth and families’ mental health and housing stability needs. This rapid response support connects staff, students and families to resources, networks and solutions to meet immediate needs. The need is great in 2020 as the COVID-19 puts communities, families and individuals at great risk.
YMCA: Fund emergency services at the Shoreview YMCA location for individuals and families
impacted by COVID-19 including meals and child care services for children of essential workers.

Lake Owasso Neighborhood Group: Provide signage recognizing artifacts found in the area dating from 1,000 years ago
Mounds View Community Theatre: Support a summer production in Shoreview of Man of La Mancha at Chippewa Middle School
Mounds View High School Diversity Council: Sponsor a student-led multi-cultural festival open to the public at the high school
National Honor Society at Mounds View High School: Support a suicide and mental health awareness event sponsored by students
Shoreview Northern Lights Variety Band: Sponsor a summer community band festival in Shoreview
YMCA Get Summer Program: Provide 400 teens in Shoreview a free summer membership and programming at the Shoreview YMCA
Tubman: Support youth violence prevention and leadership development programs for middle and high school students in Shoreview
Career Life Transition Program: Provide the program with a Zero Food Recycler and treadmill
Emmet D Williams Elementary School PTA: Playground equipment
Lakeshore Players Theater: Assist with costs for summer youth performing arts camps
Midwest Special Services: Empower individuals with disabilities
Mounds View Community Theater:
Major sponsorship of its production of ‘Crazy for You’
Mounds View Orchestral Association: Rock Orchestra support and tuning assistance
Mounds View High School Volunteer Service Club: Assist in its development and staffing
Northeast Youth and Family Services:
Pinewood Elementary School: Fund Heart of Dance program which allows 120 students to access high quality social-emotional learning through dance instruction
