Grant Information

Grant Process
An advisory board of Shoreview residents and friends annually selects non-profit organizations that serve the Shoreview community with programs focused in the following areas:

  • Recreational places (parks and trails, open space, wetlands and woodlands)
  • Community enhancement and leadership development
  • Human services
  • Arts and cultural activities
  • Historical preservation

Applicants are invited to submit a Letter of Intent describing the proposed grant request.  Grants for 2021 are being reviewed. No additional grant requests will be considered until the next grant cycle. Letters for grant consideration are typically accepted January 1 through mid February. Grant letters may include a brief description of the program, project, or service and include the following information:

  • geographic area served
  • number or anticipated number of Shoreview residents served
  • organizational status [501c(3) or government entity]
  • whether or not the organization has previously received a grant from SCF, and if so results from that grant
  • amount requested

Grant awards are typically announced in April of the same year of application.
